The Last Days
In 1810s Lithuania, the old Soplica and Horeszko families still hold their feud while citizens stir toward independence. Tadeusz, the son of a murderer, and Zosia, a young woman, come together for a wedding as politics shift and old traditions hold. Andrzej Wajda adapts Mickiewicz's 1834 epic poem, carrying its verse over onto the screen.
