The Last Days of Disco

“History is made at night.”

Alice (Chloë Sevigny) and Charlotte (Kate Beckinsale) are roommates working entry-level publishing jobs, and every night they head out to the exclusive club where their friends gather, in Manhattan in the early 1980s. Whit Stillman draws on his own nights in the city's clubs. Alice is quiet and watchful, and she is learning how much of her life she'll spend waiting for someone else to choose her.
