The Last Duel

“The true story of a woman who defied a nation and made history.”

King Charles VI of France orders the knight Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) to settle his quarrel with the squire Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) the old way, with swords, in front of the court. Jean's wife Marguerite (Jodie Comer) has accused Le Gris of raping her, and her husband's challenge rests on her word. Ridley Scott tells it in three chapters, one from each of their points of view, and lets the accounts disagree.
