“Too Mean to Forgive... Too Mad to Forget!”

It's 1909 in Arizona, and Sam Burgade (Charlton Heston), a retired lawman, learns that Provo (James Coburn) and six other convicts have broken off a chain gang at Yuma Territorial Prison. They are coming for him. Andrew V. McLaglen sends Burgade out to meet them as the old West winds down, with lawmen and outlaws both holding on to a code the new century has little use for.
