The Last of the Mohicans

(1920)Directed by Maurice Tourneur73 minAdventure, Drama, History
“The story of a prince without a kingdom”

Two English sisters, Cora (Barbara Bedford) and Alice Munro (Lillian Hall), set out across the frontier of the French and Indian War to find their father, a British officer. Their guide Magua (Wallace Beery) leads them toward Huron tribesmen instead, and the Mohican Uncas (Alan Roscoe) and the frontiersman Hawkeye follow their trail. Maurice Tourneur films it as a silent chase, and Uncas keeps his eyes on Cora.
