The Last Shot

“Inspired by the true story of the greatest motion picture never made.”

Steven Schats (Matthew Broderick) is a screenwriter and first-time director who can't get his movie financed. Then Joe Devine (Alec Baldwin) turns up as a producer with money, only he's an undercover FBI agent running a sting on the mob, and the film is his cover. Jeff Nathanson, who wrote Catch Me If You Can, keeps the comedy quick and the hustle constant.
