The Last Stage

Martha Weiss, a Jewish woman, arrives at Auschwitz with her family and wants only to keep them alive. The camp makes her an interpreter, a post that sets her apart from her loved ones, who are given far less. Wanda Jakubowska, who was imprisoned at Auschwitz herself, wrote the film from that experience, and Martha's job puts the lives around her at risk.
