The Last Time I Committed Suicide

“Life is what happens when you're busy making plans.”

Neal Cassady (Thomas Jane) spends the 1940s working at The Tire Yard and moving from one woman to the next, while picturing a quiet life with kids and a white picket fence. Stephen Kay adapts the 1950 letter Cassady wrote to Jack Kerouac, with Keanu Reeves as Harry and Claire Forlani as Joan. When Joan tries to take her own life, Neal runs, and her return puts that other life in front of him again.
