The Legend of Barney Thomson

Someone in Glasgow is killing people, and the barber nobody notices ends up in the middle of it. Barney Thomson (Robert Carlyle) is a diffident man who cuts hair for a living and has never made a stir in his life, until a serial killer's trail leads straight to his shop. Robert Carlyle directs himself opposite Cemolina (Emma Thompson), his overbearing mother, and the two of them are the one bond the film keeps returning to.
