The Legend of Battal Gazi

Battal Gazi (Cüneyt Arkın) is the legendary Muslim Serdar of Malatya, a warrior whose name outlived the centuries and gave Turkish cinema one of its most durable heroes. Atıf Yılmaz tells his life as a historical action picture, with Fikret Hakan as Ahmet Turani and Meral Zeren as Elenora. It is the first of four films about him, and Arkın plays Battal as a man who gives everything he has to the fight.
