“A nightmare tale of depravity!”

In the grand castle of Countess Erzebeth Bathory (Lucia Bosè), wealth hides a hunger to stay young and beautiful, and she means to feed it with the blood of virgins. Her husband Karl Ziemmer (Espartaco Santoni) helps her find them, and Jorge Grau lets the household's quiet luxury sit beside the work. What binds the Countess to Karl is a shared purpose, and neither of them seems to ask the other whether it is wrong.
