Louise "Frenchie" Miller (Brigitte Bardot) is an outlaw who leads her sisters in a gang of bandits across the old West. They inherit a ranch and decide to try an honest, settled life there, beside a neighboring family of many brothers. Christian-Jaque sets Frenchie and Marie Sarrazin (Claudia Cardinale) loose among them, and Frenchie keeps a robber's habits while a new life takes shape around her.
