“Every man has a destiny.”

In Ancient Greece, 1200 B.C., Queen Alcmene (Roxanne McKee) bears a son by Zeus, a child promised to overthrow her husband, the tyrant King Amphitryon (Scott Adkins). Hercules (Kellan Lutz) knows nothing of this and wants only Hebe (Gaia Weiss), the Princess of Crete, who is promised to his own brother. Renny Harlin builds the story on a plain choice between love and duty: whether a man runs with the woman he loves or takes up the destiny he was born to.
