The Leopard

“Luchino Visconti's enduring romantic adventure”

Garibaldi's troops are landing in Sicily, and Prince Fabrizio (Burt Lancaster) watches the old order he was born to begin to slip away. His nephew Tancredi (Alain Delon) rides off to join the fighting, while the family's money starts to depend on Don Calogero (Paolo Stoppa). Luchino Visconti sets Tancredi beside Calogero's daughter Angelica (Claudia Cardinale), and what is between them gets tangled up with everything the family stands to lose.
