The Letter

Leslie Crosbie (Jeanne Eagels), the wife of a plantation owner, stands trial for shooting a man she says attacked her. Her husband Robert (Reginald Owen) stays by her side, and the story she tells holds until a handwritten letter surfaces that contradicts it.
