The Liar and His Lover

Aki Ogasawara (Takeru Satoh), a 25-year-old sound engineer, quits the popular band Crude Play just as it signs a major record deal, then keeps writing its songs under the name of a producer called Soichiro. He starts seeing Riko Koeda (Sakurako Ohara), a 16-year-old whose father runs a fruit and vegetable shop, and she knows none of this. Norihiro Koizumi builds the film around the music, so her voice and his humming do much of the talking.
