The Life and Death of Peter Sellers

“Never judge a man by his cover.”

Peter Sellers (Geoffrey Rush) gets laughs as a comic on BBC Radio and works so hard at disappearing into his characters that little of himself seems left to go home with. Stephen Hopkins follows him from those early broadcasts to his fame in film, through two marriages, including one to Britt Ekland (Charlize Theron). The film treats the cost of becoming everyone else plainly, as the thing his family has to live next to.
