The Life of the Dead

Irina Lenehan (Suzel Goffre) comes to a provincial village to join her extended family, who have gathered because her cousin lies in a coma after trying to kill himself. Arnaud Desplechin puts Christian (Thibault de Montalembert) and Pascale (Marianne Denicourt) in the same rooms with the rest of the McGillis clan, and the talk runs on around the hospital bed. Irina keeps turning up in those rooms, the one person who has to work out where she stands among them.
