The Lion King

(2019)Directed by Jon Favreau118 min · PGAdventure, Drama, Family, Animation
“The king has returned.”

Not everyone in the kingdom welcomes the birth of Simba (JD McCrary), the cub born to King Mufasa (James Earl Jones), and Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Mufasa's brother and the former heir, has plans of his own. The fight over Pride Rock ends with Simba in exile, leaning on two new friends to learn how to grow up. Jon Favreau builds the savanna from photorealistic animation, so the animals look like they were filmed on location.
