The Little Foxes

(1941)Directed by William Wyler117 minDrama
“Bette Davis stars in the film version of the stage hit, as the ruthless beauty whose ambition spelt the doom of three men”

Regina Giddens (Bette Davis) is the sharpest member of a wealthy Southern family, and in 1900 she wants out of her small Deep South town and the money to do it. Her brothers have a deal waiting with a Chicago industrialist who could build cotton mills there, but they cannot close it without her husband Horace (Herbert Marshall). William Wyler keeps the family crowded into one house, and Regina watches the others for what each of them will cost her.
