The Little Sister

Fatima (Nadia Melliti) grows up in a close family in the Paris suburbs, the daughter of Algerian immigrants, and leaves home to study philosophy in the city. Hafsia Herzi adapts Fatima Daas's novel, following Fatima as she begins to see women, among them Ji-Na (Park Ji-min), while still praying and still answering to her family. Every new freedom comes with a cost she has to weigh: the people who raised her may not be able to keep her once they know.
