The Little Thief
Janine Castang (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is sixteen in a small French town just after the Second World War, living with relatives who don't want her. Claude Miller, working from an unfinished script by François Truffaut, follows her as she starts taking things and taking up with men, among them the married Michel Davenne (Didier Bezace). Underneath it is a girl who wants love and a life of her own, and has no one to teach her how to get either.
