The Living and the Dead

James Brocklebank (Leo Bill) lives with his parents in the grand, run-down Longleigh House and wants one thing, to show his father he can care for his mother alone. When Lord Donald (Roger Lloyd Pack) leaves to arrange the sale of the house, James locks the family nurse out and takes charge of his sick mother, Nancy (Kate Fahy). Simon Rumley keeps us inside with him as he mixes her pills and skips his own, a young man holding on to the job.
