The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue

(1974)Directed by Jorge Grau95 min · RHorror, Science Fiction, Drama
“They tampered with nature—now they must pay the price …”

Edna (Cristina Galbó) is a young woman driving through the English countryside to see her sister when a stranger's accident leaves her and George (Ray Lovelock) stranded in the Lake District. Soon the murders begin, and the local Inspector (Arthur Kennedy) decides the two travelers must be responsible. Jorge Grau films the dull green hills and quiet farmland as plainly as a documentary, and the dread builds from that flatness.
