Paul Crewe (Adam Sandler) was a pro quarterback, and now he is a disgraced one, sent to a federal prison in Texas where Warden Hazen wants him coaching the guards' football team. Crewe proposes a tune-up game instead, then ends up leading a squad of inmates against the guards, with ex-NFL coach Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds) at his side. Peter Segal makes the whole yard a team sport, where men with nothing else to lose find a reason to play.
