The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

“The journey ends.”

Frodo (Elijah Wood) is a hobbit carrying a ring too heavy for him, and with Sam (Sean Astin) and the wretched Gollum (Andy Serkis) he walks into the dark heart of Mordor to destroy it. Behind him, armies gather for a last battle, and Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) is named heir to the throne of the Kings of Men. Peter Jackson ends the trilogy by following the smallest of them, whose strength is spent a little more each day.
