The Lost Moment
Lewis Venable (Robert Cummings), a New York publisher in Venice under a false name, rents a room from the aged recluse Juliana Bordereau (Agnes Moorehead), once the lover of a vanished poet whose love letters he wants. Her niece Tina (Susan Hayward) distrusts him on sight, until one night he finds her at the piano, hair unpinned, calling him Jeffrey. Martin Gabel builds the film around Lewis and Tina, and the house keeps pulling them together.
