“Herbie's Back In A Brand-New Movie!”

Hank Cooper (Bruce Campbell) is a mechanic who wants a second chance at a racing career, and he finds it in Herbie, a Volkswagen Beetle losing every race and headed for the scrap heap. With Hank behind the wheel, the little car starts winning again, which infuriates the previous owner, Simon Moore III (John Hannah). Peyton Reed's film is a plain story about a man and a car that both deserve better than they've been given.
