The Macaluso Sisters

Five sisters share an apartment in Palermo and earn their living renting out doves for ceremonies. Emma Dante, adapting her own 2014 play, follows Maria, Pinuccia, Lia, Katia and Antonella through their ordinary days until one at the beach changes them. Years later, Maria (Simona Malato) and Lia (Serena Barone) are still bound to each other in that same apartment.
