The MacKintosh Man

“Only MacKintosh can save them now - and MacKintosh is dead!”

Joseph Rearden (Paul Newman) wants inside a spy network that has been moving secrets out of Britain, and the only way in is to pass himself off as a jewel thief. He takes the crime, the arrest and the prison sentence, all on the word of his superior Mackintosh (Harry Andrews). John Huston follows him through gray English rooms and corridors, where Rearden finds he has no one left to trust.
