The Mad Women's Ball

Eugénie Cléry (Lou de Laâge) wants out of the Paris asylum where her family has shut her away, and she has found one possible ally in a nurse, Geneviève Gleizes (Mélanie Laurent). Laurent, who also directed, builds the plan around the two of them, with Jeanne (Emmanuelle Bercot) another presence on the ward. The camera stays close on faces and corridors, so the walls feel as near to the viewer as they do to Eugénie.
