The Magician

“He can make people disappear.”

Max (Massimiliano Andrighetto), an Italian film student in Melbourne, wants a subject for his camera, and he settles on his old neighbour Ray (Scott Ryan), a hitman. Ray lets him follow along through the ordinary days of a career criminal, and an odd friendship forms in front of the lens. Scott Ryan shot it in ten days for A$3,000, and the handheld footage keeps the whole thing plain and close.
