The Major

Major Sobolev (Sergey Sobolev) wants one thing on a cold winter's day, to reach the hospital before his wife gives birth. He drives too fast, and a boy on a crosswalk is killed. Yury Bykov leaves the major alone with the choice between prison and a cover-up, and a colleague he calls in to help. The winter road lies empty behind him and the hospital still ahead.
