The Man from the Alamo

(1953)Directed by Budd Boetticher79 minWestern
“Out Of Texas' Bravest Hour... Came The Man They Called The Coward”

In Texas during the war for independence, John Stroud (Glenn Ford) is sent out of the Alamo before the end to carry word to the families of the men still inside. He reaches them too late, and his neighbors brand him a coward for leaving. To prove otherwise he joins the gang of turncoats he cannot expose, and Budd Boetticher films their raids in plain daylight, with no ornament.
