The Man in My Basement

Charles Blakey (Corey Hawkins) is down on his luck when a stranger, Anniston Bennett (Willem Dafoe), offers to rent his basement. Nadia Latif adapts Walter Mosley's novel, and the two men settle into a deal with terms neither of them has fully spoken aloud. Charles upstairs and Bennett below are bound by money, by the house, and by a trust that neither seems ready to give.
