The Man in the Basement

In a Paris apartment building, Simon (Jérémie Renier) and Hélène Sandberg (Bérénice Bejo) agree to sell the damp, unused cellar underneath it. The buyer, Jacques Fonzic (François Cluzet), is so ordinary that nobody thinks twice, until he moves into the cellar and stays. Philippe Le Guay follows the couple as they try to undo the sale, while their teenage daughter spends more time down there with him and their home is what's at stake.
