The old Musketeers ride again, Porthos (Alan Hale) and D'Artagnan (Warren William) among them, to take the throne from a tyrant king and give it to the twin brother he keeps locked away. Louis Hayward plays both men, the cruel Louis XIV and the imprisoned Philippe of Gascony. James Whale films the palace as a place of velvet and candlelight, and keeps the sword fights fast and close.
