The Man Who Had His Hair Cut Short
Govert Miereveld (Senne Rouffaer) is a married schoolteacher in Flanders who has fallen into an obsessive love for one of his students, Fran (Beata Tyszkiewicz). He moves away to get clear of her, but a disturbing brush with death and an unexpected reunion begin to loosen his hold on what is real. André Delvaux, adapting Johan Daisne's 1947 novel, keeps Govert in the middle of the frame, a man in a coat, still walking.
