The Man Who Invented Christmas

In 1843, Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) is a celebrated writer whose latest book has flopped, with bills piling up and a deadline for a new book. Bharat Nalluri has him pacing his study while an embittered old man named Scrooge (Christopher Plummer) starts to take shape in his head, pulled up out of his own childhood memories. Dickens needs the story finished, and it keeps turning toward his father, John (Jonathan Pryce), and the debts he cannot shake.
