The Man Who Loved Women

(1977)Directed by François Truffaut119 minDrama, Comedy, Romance

Nearly all the mourners at Bertrand Morane's burial are women, and each one knew him differently. The film then goes back through the life of this 40-year-old engineer (Charles Denner), told in his own words as he writes an autobiographical novel. Truffaut gathers them all at the graveside, among them Véra (Leslie Caron) and Delphine (Nelly Borgeaud), the women Bertrand loved standing together at the edge of the grave.
