The Man Who Sold His Skin

“What price would you pay for freedom?”

Sam Ali (Yahya Mahayni) is a Syrian refugee in Lebanon who wants to reach Europe, where Abeer (Dea Liane), the woman he loves, now lives. The famous artist Jeffrey Godefroi (Koen De Bouw) offers him a way across the border: let his back be tattooed and become a work of art. Kaouther Ben Hania keeps us close to Sam as he signs, a man trading the one thing he still owns for a chance to see her again.
