The Man Who Would Be King

(1975)Directed by John Huston129 min · PGAdventure, Drama
“Adventure in all its glory!”

Daniel Dravot (Sean Connery) and Peachy Carnehan (Michael Caine) are two ex-soldiers in British India who have had enough of taking orders and want a kingdom of their own. They set out for Kafiristan, a remote land in what is now Afghanistan, where the people begin to take Dravot for a god. John Huston films the long march through the mountains, the two men small against the snow and the rock, still leaning on each other as they climb.
