The Man with the Balloons

“A balloon is like virtue - any moment it can go BANG!”

Mario Fuggetta (Marcello Mastroianni) is a Milan industrialist who spends his days blowing up balloons to see how much air one can take before it bursts. Marco Ferreri films this obsession flatly, as though it were any other habit of a man with money. Giovanna (Catherine Spaak) is the woman in his life, and the two of them share a flat full of rubber and breath.
