The Man with the Golden Arm

Frankie Machine (Frank Sinatra) comes out of prison clean, a card dealer who wants honest work and has an old drum set to get it with. Otto Preminger follows him back into the neighborhood, where his former employer and his old dealer are both waiting, and Zosh (Eleanor Parker) and Molly (Kim Novak) each hold a different claim on him. If he can't keep away from them, he loses the one chance he has to play for a living.
