The Man Without a Face

A small town keeps its distance from Justin McLeod (Mel Gibson), a former teacher who lives alone at the edge of it, his face scarred from a car accident ten years earlier that killed a boy. Chuck Norstadt (Nick Stahl) is a lonely kid who starts coming around for lessons, and Mel Gibson directs their time together as a slow, tentative friendship. As the town's suspicions harden against him, McLeod has to decide whether he can stand to let anyone close.
