The Marathon

“You never walk alone”

Four out-of-shape mechanics, led by Kees (Frank Lammers) and joined by Leo (Martin van Waardenberg), sign up for the Rotterdam marathon and start training. Diederick Koopal sets the stakes at a garage and a debt, with a finish time deciding whether the men keep their workplace. If they miss it, the garage goes, and with it the job each of them has done for years.
