The Marriage Circle

“The oft told story. His Best Friend and His Wife and ---”

Charlotte Braun (Florence Vidor) wants a marriage that still feels like one, but her husband, Dr. Franz Braun (Monte Blue), has gone cold on her. They settle in Vienna near her friend Mizzi Stock (Marie Prevost), whose husband, Professor Josef Stock (Adolphe Menjou), takes a warm interest in Charlotte. Ernst Lubitsch sets two households side by side, and all of them stand to lose a good deal if the wrong person sees the wrong look.
