The Mask

“From zero to hero.”

Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) is a timid bank clerk who wants one thing, a little courage, especially around the singer he keeps meaning to talk to. He gets it when he finds a mask carrying the spirit of the Norse god Loki, and puts it on as a green-faced cartoon of himself. Chuck Russell sets that loose among local mobsters, and the film comes down to what a shy man does with a face that finally does the talking.
