The Mass Is Ended

“His hopes shattered, now it is time for another place...”

Don Giulio (Nanni Moretti) comes back to the Rome he grew up in as a young priest, sent to take over a parish from a man who left the church to start a family. The old friends he finds there were radicals once, like him, and each is coping in a separate way with how the revolution ended. Moretti, who also wrote the film, plays Giulio as a man whose kindness reaches everyone and fixes nothing.
