The Maze

“The Deadliest Trap in the World!”

Gerald MacTeam (Richard Carlson) wants out of his engagement to Kitty Murray (Veronica Hurst), and without explanation he leaves for his uncle's castle in the Scottish highlands. A few weeks later Kitty and her aunt Edith (Katherine Emery) follow him there and find that he has aged far beyond what the time away allows. William Cameron Menzies built the film around the hedge maze beside the castle, and Gerald seems to carry a secret out of it that he won't name.
